The Astros and Yankees met in game 4 of the 2017 American League Championship Series on October 17, 2017. The Astros held 2 games to 1 lead going into this game in New York. At the top of the first inning, this baseball was used when Sonny Grey threw balls three and four to Walk Jose Altuve for his seventh career postseason walk. Gary Sanchez hit a double that scored Aaron Judge and Didi Gregorius to give the Yankees a 6-4 lead that held as New York evened the series. Houston would fight back over the next three games to win this series in seven games, and then go on to defeat the Dodgers in seven games to win the 2017 World Series.
