The Rangers welcomed the Astros for a series in August 2015. On August 4th, the Rangers held a slight lead by a score of 4-3 in the top of the eighth inning. Jake Diekman was brought in to replace Spencer Patton, and the Astros rookie Carlos Correa led off the inning. Correa hit the first pitch he saw, a 97.6 MPH Sinker to third baseman Adrian Beltre, who threw it over to first base to retire Correa. The next two batters also grounded out to end a one-two-three inning. Correa was held hitless in this game, and the Rangers held on to win, 4-3. The loss dropped the Astros to 60-48 which was still enough to maintain a 3 game lead in the AL West.
